The Journey
Pia Maria Webb (Pia Webb)
My path has never been linear. It has moved through the world of business, leadership, coaching, lecturing, and writing — including my book Improve Your Own Quality of Life the Swedish Way (2014).
For many years, I worked in environments shaped by performance, structure, and outward achievement. It was a world that taught me a great deal — about people, change and responsibility.
Alongside this work, I also spent several years in nature-based environments with children and young people through 4H, creating spaces focused on simplicity, presence, and self-leadership. In these settings, learning was not something taught, but something lived — through experience, responsibility, and connection to nature.
One of the projects, Nedsläckt – living without electricity, invited young people to explore fundamental human needs such as food, water, warmth, sleep, and safety through both theory and lived experience. The project reached over 300 participants and also led to the creation of the documentary Experiment Nedsläckt Hus, following seven students spending a weekend without electricity.
What I witnessed in these environments gave me a very direct understanding of how deeply human presence is shaped by surroundings. When life is simplified, something essential in people begins to return — attention, clarity, and a more grounded way of being.
Over time, something in me began to shift.
A slower way of living started to emerge. One with less noise, fewer words, and more presence.
What began as personal retreats in nature gradually became a deeper practice of silence and inner listening.
Since 2020, I have spent extended time in silence in nature — not as an escape, but as a way of returning to what is real and essential. This has changed how I live, how I relate, and how I work with others.
Today, my life is guided by simplicity, presence, and a deep respect for inner knowing. I live and work close to nature, and much of my work is now created from this space of stillness — including Meet Yourself in Silence, offered from La Gomera.
Over time, this path has also shaped how I relate to identity and name. In 2026, I began using Pia Maria Webb — my middle name — as a more complete expression of who I am today.
This is what I now share with others — not as a method, but as a lived way of being.
That clarity is not something we find outside of ourselves. It becomes available when we slow down enough to listen. And everything we are searching for is already within us.
If this resonates, you are welcome to begin with a guided experience into silence.
